And Quentin Blake was always so fun to look at - he did a lot of Roald Dahl's stories.

I like your idea about photocopying your favorite drawings and making DIY art. If it brings you satisfaction to gaze upon it, then yes, it's art!!!daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10670080158732044043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046320545497573335.post-57415485747214806942008-02-09T13:23:00.000-05:002008-02-09T13:23:00.000-05:00Peter, perhaps you do not know about the National ...Peter, perhaps you do not know about the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature in Abilene, Texas. I think I'm going to write a blog entry on Ellen Tebbits and Otis Spofford in the coming days. Thanks for your comments!Peter D. Who could forget that wonderful picture of her dancing in the school corridor?

I once heard a lecture by Kevin Henkes where he said that as a child, he loved Garth Williams, and he read every novel illustrated by him. It's an interesting way for a child to select chapter books...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
